Michael Dobbs opened his display by stating that NATO (The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) was established in 1949 and his presentation touched upon many different elements of its 76-year history. He showed a range of anniversary issues from countries such as Portugal, The Czech Republic and Poland as well as a range of postmarks from various Ministerial Meetings. His display included the Advisory group for Aerospace research and Development (AGARD), the NATO School at Oberammergau, Germany, and SACLANT – the Anti-Submarine Warfare Research Centre at La Spezia, Italy. A very unusual, interesting and entertaining display which also touched upon various NATO military HQs in Paris and Brussels and British, American and Canadian FPOs
