May was our AGM attended by 39 members. The members were informed that the club is in a healthy state and currently has 67 paid up members.
The Norman Frost Salver this year was presented to our Publicity Officer Chris Lucas who has done a tremendous amount of work for the club getting us recognised in the local area and organising us favourable terms with Dauwalders which has been a great benefit to the members.
The Committee also awarded Denis Littlewort, aged 97 with an honorary membership whose research work has made him the World Authority on his specialised subject the Large Keyplate stamps. Denis remarked that ‘he was too young for the award!’
The Committee would also like to convey their thanks to Fred Mitchell who was our membership secretary along with Brenda for 14 years, a great effort, thanks Fred, and we would like to say welcome to his successor Alan Hall.
