Barry Feltham gave an amazing display on The Tower of London, tracing it’s origins from William the Conqueror to the present day and tracing the developmentof the Yeomen Warders.
Barry described how the Tower had been an arsenal, Royal Palace and prison over the centuries, and how many prisoners and spies had been executed within the confines of the castle. The display also covered various ghostly sitings, including the spirits of Anne Boleyn and Lady Jane Grey to name but two! He also covered the “Ceremony of the Keys” carried out every evening – the oldest military Ceremony in the world. Altogether a fantastic, wide-ranging display, which drew an audience not matched at the club for the past 6 years!
