August 2022

40 members had an enjoyable August meeting where they were asked to display up to 5 pages of anything to do with ‘Air Travel’ meaning anything that leaves the ground. The competition is named after a former member, Roy Gilbert. It is a two-part competition, the second part in November with the title ‘My most interesting item.’ The overall winner will win the Roy Gilbert Cup which will be presented by Roy’s wife Frances at our December meeting.

There were 8 entries:

Elizabeth Philpot: Deutsches Reich WWII – 1942 Military Field Post for Airmail Lufteldpost.

Paul Taylor: Austrian Air Mail Service.
