In January, we had several members displaying a one pager on a whole range of topics:
A newsletter from the Siege of Mafeking, Royal Mail fruit & veg stamps, WWII Siemens factory cover, Crash Mail, Antigua Inland Mail, British Honduras – Arms of the Empire, WW1 funny postcard, Stage Coach robbery in Mexico, 150th Anniversary of the Penny Black, Southern Rhodesia – George V Admirals, George V1 definitives essays, Unique Naval Signals, Peninsular War letter from the Duke of Wellington, Roman Emperors, James Cook.
In the second half we had a display from member Henry Coward on Machins. And throughout the meeting we saw Barry Brown’s Father’s and Grandfather’s memorabilia of the two World Wars – very interesting.
