This month we held our annual “One Page Competition” when members showed single sheets on a
specific country or theme. Eleven members entered 28 entries in total.
Entries included a cover signed by Florence Nightingale, a Ship’s Letter written by a member of the
Romanov Royal Family, a miniature sheet showing the RMS Titanic, postcards from the Third Reich,
and a cover addressed to the RevĀ “Tubby” Clayton founder of “TOC-H”.
The winning entry was a postcard sent to a club member some 70 odd years ago, from a lady who was
the mother of the current Home Secretary, James Cleverly.
