Our AGM in May was attended by 39 members. Unfortunately, our Chairman, Patrick Reid FRPSL in his last year as Chairman was unable to attend and was chaired by our Vice Chairman, Peter White. The Secretary had the pleasure of announcing and handing over the Chairman’s ribbon to Peter who will take up the mantle of being Chairman for the next two years. Patrick will continue as a committee member.
We have also elected a new Vice in Malcolm Cole. Malcolm also doubles up as our Programme Secretary.
Unfortunately, with the death of our Trading Secretary, David Bravery, we are still looking for a replacement, along with a new Membership Secretary as Fred Mitchell would like to step down in the coming months after 11 years. But the good news is we have added two new committee members, Michael Boatman (a return to the committee) and Chris Lucas – welcome both.
We have also appointed a new Hon. Examiner as our present examiner, Keith Johnston has decided to move on. Thank you, Keith for all your help over the past 6 years.
The new Hon Examiner is Roberta Wilson.
Mick Willis and Malcolm Cole were awarded the Norman Frost Salvers for last year 2022 and 2023 respectively. Our Membership Secretary, Fred Mitchell was awarded an Honorary Life Membership – see more details/pictures under news.
